Mysuru is a university city. The University of Mysore and several engineering and management colleges are here, and Infosys runs its large training campus in the city. Each year a new group of graduates looks for work, and many would rather not move to Bengaluru.

There is also an experienced pool: people from Mysuru and nearby districts who work in Bengaluru today and would move home for the right role. Hybrid and remote roles based in Mysuru are often how teams reach them.

What a team office in Mysuru costs

A private suite at SproutBox is a fully enclosed, lockable cabin used only by your team. The monthly fee covers furniture, 1 Gbps internet, electricity, air conditioning, power backup, housekeeping, security and pantry. GST at 18% is added. Parking at the mall is paid separately.

What you pay at the start. A private suite needs a refundable security deposit of two months' fee (no GST on the deposit) and one month's fee in advance, plus GST on the fee. For the 3-person suite that is a Rs 43,998 deposit and Rs 21,999 plus Rs 3,960 GST, about Rs 69,957 in all.

Compared with leasing your own office. A bare office means a lease with its own deposit, fit-out, furniture, an internet connection, power backup, and staff for cleaning and security, before anyone sits down. A suite has all of that in place, and the agreement is 11 months rather than several years. Compare the total cost, not just the rent.

GST

GST registration at SproutBox

You can register SproutBox as your Principal or Additional Place of Business. GST registration is available with a minimum 11-month agreement for at least 2 seats or a private office suite, at SproutBox, 4th Floor, Mall of Mysore, Nazrabad Mohalla, Mysuru 570010.

If you register for GST at your office, the premises must be backed by proper paperwork, and a cheaper office that cannot provide it is worth less than one that can. After verifying the company and its founders and signing a minimum 11-month agreement, we provide our agreement with your allocated cabin number, NOCs from the property owner and from SproutBox, utility invoices, property ownership proof, and the registered lease with the property owner where applicable.

Government and professional fees for the registration are borne by you. We do not offer virtual office or address-only plans: GST registration is only for members using the space.

Setup

Step by step: from first call to move-in

See the space. Book a tour, or a call if your team lead is in another city.
Choose a suite. We confirm the cabin, price and start date in writing.
Verification. We verify the company and its founders. This is needed before we can issue GST documents.
Sign the agreement. An 11-month agreement in your company's name, signed electronically.
Pay the deposit and first month. Two months' refundable deposit and one month's fee in advance, plus GST on the fee.
Register for GST, if you need to. We provide the documents; you or your adviser file the application. Registration fees are yours.
Move in. Bring laptops. Furniture, internet, power backup and housekeeping are already in place.

Policy note

Karnataka GCC policy

Karnataka has a Global Capability Centre policy for 2024–29 that includes incentives for GCCs set up outside Bengaluru, and Mysuru is among the cities named. A summary is on India Briefing.

Eligibility is for registered GCCs under the policy's terms. We do not claim that a SproutBox membership qualifies for any incentive. Check with the state government and your own advisers.

Can the agreement be in our company’s name?

Yes. The agreement is executed in your company’s name and signed electronically by an authorised signatory.

Do you offer a virtual office?

No. SproutBox does not offer virtual office, mailbox or address-only plans. GST registration is only for members using the space.

Does a SproutBox membership qualify for Karnataka GCC policy incentives?

We do not claim that it does. Karnataka’s GCC Policy 2024–29 includes incentives for GCCs outside Bengaluru, and eligibility is for registered GCCs under the policy’s terms. Check with the state government and your advisers.
